In the summer of 2019 we open the 5th season of the “Young sailors Academy” – family yachting.
This time we go to Italy on a trip to the islands of the Tyrrhenian Sea! We start from the Marina di Scarlino (the nearest airports are Pisa and Florence).
Tour with Elena Blinovskaya and her family!
WHAT IT IS?
Yachting with kids is more than yachting! We do family trips on yachts for 4 years. We know from sure: a voyage on a yacht with active learning and participation in the life of a boat is a complete change of the usual picture and type of activity, “reloading” of adults and children, a long-awaited replacement for the annual land “package” tourism.
Children’s regattas are an opportunity to live a new, unlikely, emotional experience of traveling together with a child, in which there are no passive roles.
Parents discover children from new sides, see their wisdom and courage, their willingness to work together and overcome difficulties, their happiness every minute at sea.
WHAT IS AN ENTERTAINMENT PROGRAM?
Together with the counselors, we will learn to knit sea knots, learn everything about the life of real sailors, launch kites, build sand castles, have a picnic on a desert island and find treasure! And also we will see the Polar Star, we will find the Big and Small Dipper in the night starry sky. While the children are having fun, parents can devote their free time to their hobbies or join the children.
Now you do not need to think what to take the children on vacation! Especially for parents, we came up with a “parental hour” – every evening the counselors will pick up children and read a book to them, letting their parents sit after dinner over a glass of wine or stroll through the romantic streets of Italian cities.
HOW EVERYTHING HAPPENS?
Under the guidance of experienced captains and counselors, the team embarks on a week-long sea expedition on comfortable cruise yachts. We select qualified skippers who teach expedition members marine business and charge adults and children with love for the sea and adventures!
HOW DO WE LIVE?
Children and parents live on boats in comfortable double cabins.
For 4-5 cabins there are 2-4 bathrooms with shower and hot water (depends on yahct model). Each boat has its own kitchen, where we cook from the freshest products purchased in shops and local port markets.
Children’s regatta is when learning necessarily alternates with entertainment and recreation. Transitions are small —1.5 – 3 hours, every day we land on new beaches and spend a lot of time on the shore,
and no gadgets!
First, there is no time!
Secondly, no one remembers!
WHAT DOES IT GIVE?
By the end of the trip, the parents and the child will know what the job of a sailor, boatswain, navigator, radio operator and captain is, and also how to knit sea knots, what for fenders are, give and take mooring lines and shout “anchor is clear” when set off.
Before the trip we will meet in Moscow for all the crews to meet the captains and the leaders. You can read more about what to take with you in the Questions and Answers.
See how everything goes in our photo reports , as well as in the feedback from our participants.
